Now we’ve covered plenty of Mom drummers, preggo drummers, and drummers who aren’t moms yet, but probably will be some day. So today is their day. And everyone’s really because no matter who you are, or what you’re doing, we all have two things in common: a mother and father.
In the case of Zach, his mother taught him how to drum. Mom, Melissa, is in 8 Inch Betsy of Chicago and her son wrote to Tom Tom in this post and we have to admire his sincerity by promoting his seemingly awesome mom!
Here is his comment:
“My name is Zach and I’m a 10 year old musician. My Mom plays drums in 8 Inch Betsy. She also runs a record label. She introduced me to music when I was really young. She took me to shows, bought me instruments (including my own drums), gave me lessons, and encouraged me to try new things. She is a really good drummer and Mom.”
So go check out 8 Inch Betsy, keep sending us inspirational stories of drums and moms and dads and kids and puppies and kittens and glitter and cupcakes and we’ll keep Tom Tom an interactive love space for y’all…I ate too much chocolate today, sorry for being such a sap.
