Brooklyn band, Darling Din, is finally releasing an EP under their new name. Formerly known as, So So Apropos, members Lisa Jaeggi, Sharon Raizer and Amir Landa have been making waves in the New York music scene. Deli Magazine named them as Best Emerging Artists of 2013 – and we can all hear why. Jaeggi’s gritty guitar style matched with her velvety vocals compliment Raizer’s tight and perfectly structured fills and drum beats. Landa is essential, carrying every song perfectly with his funky and melodic bass lines. Killing To Be Bright is the single off the new EP. The song evokes a delicate sound accompanied with a nostalgic melody. Jaeggi’s vocals melt over the guitar and toms during the chorus. The ending is perfect; Raizer’s quick transition into beautifully composed chaotic drum chops end the song. This is truly an EP that no one should miss hearing. Darling Din will be releasing their 5 song EP on August 9th with a release show at The Gutter in Williamsburg at 9pm.
