On Feb 28, band No Doubt announced a contest for all age drummers. Contestants were asked to film themselves drumming while wearing headphones and to upload the video to video streaming site, YouTube under the appropriate name.
The contest was created using the title track featuring Busy Signal and Major Lazer from No Doubt’s latest album.
Over 45 drummers entered the contest in hopes of winning the prize pack sponsored by Orange County Drum and Percussion, Zildjian, Ahead Armor Cases, and REMO.
The contest was judged by Do Doubt drummer, Adrian Young, who selected a winner on April 11. Tosha Jones was announced as the winner on the No Doubt official site April 22. Tosha received an Orange County Drum and Percussion snare drum signed by Young, Zildjian drumsticks, a set of REMO drumheads, and an Ahead Armor snare drum case.
“Congratulations Tosha – you killed it,” said Young when announcing Jones as the contest winner.
