Tom Tom Magazine threw a release party for Issue 7 in Portland OR October 16th at Mississippi Studios. Featured performers were Reynosa, Hungry Ghost, and Sad Horse, plus DJ Freddie Fagula. Reynosa is a brand new duo from drummers Fabi and Ana, formerly of Sexhair (Sexhair played at Tom Tom’s 2011 SXSW showcase!). Brisa (of Swan Island) joined them on stage for a few songs. Hungry Ghost features Sara Lund – of Unwound fame – on drums; her beats are always mesmerizing. Sad Horse, the duo of Elizabeth Venable and Geoff Soule – rounded out the evening. They alway kill it with their simple super catchy jams. Thank you to the performers, Mississippi Studios, Revival Drum Shop, and Tom Tom Magazine interns and volunteers for a wonderful evening!!!
