Strawberry Switchblades

Strawberry Switchblades sound exactly the way you’d think they would but better! They only had one album  on which they covered Dolly Parton and The Velvet Underground.

They started in 1981 and their first single (Trees and Flowers) followed shortly after. The song is said to be about Jill Bryson’s agoraphobia. One single and three years later they released a self-titled full length, that was huuuge in Japan but unfortunately flopped everywhere else. Although it was a commercial failure it was an amazing album. Buy it
