Kaleidoloop
I love this little guy made by Chris Kucinski & Owen Osborn of Critter Guitari here in Philadelphia. I met Chris at the ITP program at NYU and was thrilled to find their workshop a few years later. The Kaleidoloop has a built in mic and can sample sounds which you can then loop and pitch manipulate. I’ve created some really nice rhythms from organic sounds with this – it’s one of my favorite pieces right now. Critter Guitari also makes some rad pocket pianos and video synths.
