Summer is inching towards its close, temps are dropping and seasonal coffee flavors are slowly rolling out. As folks break out jean jackets and boots, playlists for fall/winter are slowly being taken off the shelf as well. For me, a change in seasons equals more angsty rock tunes…..which essentially means my plays of Nirvana’s MTV Unplugged album increase DRASTICALLY. While I think Ötzi’s newest LP ‘Ghosts’ is great for all seasons, there’s something about these dark bass-lines and bellowing vocals that scream ‘Hi yes you need me in your ears this fall.’
Described by Maximum RocknRoll as “The dark and (heavy on the) dreamy side of post-punk”, the Oakland band is continuing to live up to that description with their newest record ‘Ghosts.’ ‘Ghosts’ is a heavy-hitting rock record that you’ll find yourself wildly air-drumming to on your commute into work, school or where ever the day may be taking you. Check out the record for yourself below!
Keep up with all things Ötzi via their facebook and catch them on tour in Europe this month! We’re huge fans of this band so you’re bound to see them on our channels again!
