First Ever Female Drummer Contest: Hit Like A Girl 2012!

Aiming to seek, support and celebrate the impact of female drummers, Hit Like A Girl 2012 is the first ever drumming contest for girls and women— sponsored by us, Tom Tom Magazine and leading drum equipment companies Crush, TRX, Vater, Evans, and SKB, along with major drum media companies, including DRUM!, and others.

April 22nd, 2012: 15 Finalists Announced

April 30th, 2012: Celebrity Judges Voting Completed

May 1st, 2012: Winner Announced

Any female drum set performer may enter. The are no restrictions on age or style. All contestants must include a short bio and a three-minute or longer video of them performing solo or with a band or other musical group. If the video is longer than three minutes only the first three minutes will be judged. Upload the video to YouTube. (You may upload a response video to the HitLIkeAGirl2012.com YouTube page.) The embed code for the video is required on the contest entry form.

Drummers of any age may enter. Participants are required to fill out an entry form and submit a three-minute or longer video of their drum set performance. This contest is open to participants from all countries, however winners from territories outside North America may be responsible for any additional shipping costs as well as any local duties and/or fees. No drummer signed to a major label or in a major band is eligible. The Contest is not open to employees, families, or employees of participating manufacturers and sponsors. The decision of the judges is final. The contest is void where prohibited by law and is subject to all applicable federal, state and local regulations. Taxes are the sole responsibility of the winner. The prizes are nontransferable. The winner releases HitLikeAGirl2012 and its affiliates, officers, agents, and employees from any liability in connection with use of the prize.
