Tom Tom Magazine is currently in production for Issue #4: The Experimental Issue. This issue is going to feature Evelyn Glennie, Susie Ibarra, Kim Schifino (Matt & Kim), Yoshimi (Boredoms), Maria Chavez, Warpaint, Grass Widow, Germaine Baca, and more.

Past Issues of Tom Tom have featured: Cindy Blackman (Lenny Kravitz), Yuko Araki (Yoko Ono), Hannah Blilie (The Gossip), JD Samson (MEN & Le Tigre), Akiko Matsurra (The Big Pink),  Allison Miller (Ani DiFranco), Suphala, Janet Weiss (Quasi), Telepathe, tour diaries, portraits of drummers, drum techniques, drum art and more.

Issue #5 will feature Susie Ibarra as a guest editor and include interviews with Kim Thompson (Beyonce’s drummer), Mo Tucker, Sheila E., Ikue Mori and others.

The magazine is just getting on its legs and as you know, like most magazines, is fueled by it’s advertisers. Not only is Tom Tom dedicated to bringing it’s readers relevant and inspiring articles and interviews about female drummers it is also interested in building a community. The advertisers are a HUGE part of that.

Currently Tom Tom Magazine is a full color magazine that is distributed worldwide (Paris, London, Canada, New Zealnd, Chile, LA, Portland, Miami, NYC).
