London-based trio Peluché have announced the release of their debut EP Utopia Village, due out November 25 on RIP Records. Along with the EP announcement, the band have released their new track “Swim,” streaming below.
Always a genre-spanning band, Peluché’s ever-eclectic sound remains difficult to define on “Swim.” A little bit jazz, a little bit funk, and a little bit pop, “Swim” is all slick basslines and hi-hat heavy drumming. Over the course of its six-minute runtime, the track sees Peluché at their most dynamic as they explore the depths of their sound, unafraid to change tempo, add a new layers to their sound, or wander off in a new direction mid-song.
Utopia Village is available as a special deluxe pre-order via RIP Records. Limited to the first 30 orders, the deluxe edition of Utopia Village includes a signed 12” vinyl and a Peluché tote bag.
Shortly after Utopia Village’s November release, Peluché will make an appearance as guest DJs at Ace Hotel Shoreditch on December 5th from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. as part of Tom Tom Magazine’s week-long residency.
